June 27-Easy Ways To Give Back

So I know that not everyone has time to go get dirty and help with clean up, people have to work and life does keep moving so I thought I would put together a list of very easy and simple ways to give back and help people effected by the flood:

  • Donate a silent auction item for my friends Red Cross Fundraiser at Ceili's South July 6
    • If you have any item to donate please email marc@naturalhigh.ca
  • Donate bottles to the Calgary Flood Bottle Drive!
    • You can email them at abfloodreliefbottledrive@outlook.com
  • Donate money at most gorcery chains in Alberta, proceeds go to Red Cross!
  • Donate your grad dress or other fancy dresses you have to flood victims!
  • Buy a "Alberta Rose" doughnut at Tim Hortons, proceeds to Red Cross!

Hope this helps!

June 4- Haircuts for the homeless!

The 82-year-old Cymerys, who is known as Joe the Barber, began offering his services 25 years ago after retiring from a career in business. He had cut hair for his family but decided to put his clippers to work for the less fortunate after being inspired by a church sermon about the homeless."It really is love. I love these guys," Cymerys said. He paused and turned to his client in the chair, "You know I love you, right?"

May 29- This boy is an inspiration!

Shane Burcaw's body is kind of horrible to him. So much so that he devoted a whole blog to it called "Laughing at My Nightmare."  He's pretty sure he won't live past 30. Thankfully, he and his amazing family and friends haven't let that stop him. Read more via Upworthy

As a struggling actor many years ago, Zach Galifianakis met Elizabeth "Mimi" Haist at a local laundromat in Los Angeles. Mimi, now 87 years-old, volunteered at the laundromat surviving off of tips from customers for 18 years.

Two years ago, Galifianakis heard that Mimi had recently become homeless and found her an apartment in Santa Monica. He pays for her rent as well as her utilities. Now he is taking her to red carpet events. Read more via Sunny Skyz
